Reddit Onboards 3 Million Crypto Wallets 🚀
Just with a stroke of genius, Reddit has on-boarded over 3 million crypto wallets with its NFT program. In July, Reddit jumped on the NFT train, launching an NFT-based marketplace that allows users to purchase blockchain-based profile pictures for a fixed rate.
Earlier this week during a panel at TechCrunch Disrupt, Reddit chief product officer Pali Bhat revealed that over three million Redditors have used Reddit’s Vault blockchain wallet to create over three million crypto wallets to date. Most of those — 2.5 million — were created to purchase NFT avatars that can be used as profile pics on the platform, he said.
So, dear anon, did you also think that NFTs are dead?

Warner Bros debuts 10,999 Lord of the Rings NFTs as part of web3 movie push
The U.S.-based film and entertainment studio Warner Bros has debuted the fantasy classic The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring as a series of collectible NFTs.
The NFT drop, launched on Oct. 21, 2022, is part of a new web3 movie initiative called “Warner Bros Movieverse.” The drop marks Warner Bros as one of the first major media conglomerates to drop digital collectibles from its popular films.
Users can pick from two options for The Lord of the Rings NFTs. There’s the “Mystery Edition” in which the user randomly mints a common, uncommon, or rare NFT respectively based on The Shire, Rivendell, and Mines of Moria locations in the film.
